Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Peace — the mobile app, website at peacesocial.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using Peace, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are
Peace Social (“Peace”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Robert Dumitru, an independent developer based in Austria. The public website and share previews are served from peacesocial.app. The native apps are distributed under the bundle identifier app.peacesocial.
- Peace is a capture-only social video product: you record in the app, reply with short video, and moments expire after 24 hours unless otherwise stated in the product.
- These Terms apply to all users, including visitors who only open shared links on the web.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, if higher) and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep your email reachable for security notices.
- One person should not maintain multiple accounts to evade enforcement, blocks, or verification.
- We may require selfie verification before you can post or reply. Verification uses a live in-app camera selfie (not a library upload). Approved verification photos become your profile avatar.
- You may delete your account in app settings. Deletion removes your auth identity and associated profile data subject to our Privacy Policy and legal retention obligations.
3. Acceptable use
Peace is built for authentic, live-captured moments among real people. You agree not to misuse the Service.
- Do not upload from the camera roll, reuse third-party clips, use deepfakes, or otherwise misrepresent what was captured live.
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, dox, impersonate, or target people with hate or slurs.
- Do not post sexual content, nudity, exploitation of minors, graphic violence, illegal activity, scams, or dangerous instructions.
- Do not spam, artificially inflate engagement, scrape the Service, reverse engineer clients, or attempt to bypass moderation or blocks.
- Respect privacy and consent: do not record or share people in situations where they reasonably expect privacy.
4. Your content and license
You retain ownership of the moments you create. To operate Peace, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transcode, display, and moderate your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
- That license ends when your content is deleted or expires, except for reasonable backup copies and logs retained for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
- Public moments may be viewable through share links on the web while they remain available and not private.
- You represent that you have the rights needed to post your content and that your content complies with these Terms and applicable law.
5. Moderation and enforcement
Peace uses automated checks, community reports, and human review where appropriate. We may act on content or accounts without prior notice when safety requires it.
- We may remove moments, limit distribution, require re-verification, suspend accounts, or permanently ban repeat or severe violators.
- Serious reports can temporarily hide a moment pending review.
- Enforcement decisions are made to protect users and the integrity of the Service; they are not guaranteed to be perfect.
6. Third-party services
Peace relies on infrastructure partners (for example hosting, authentication, analytics, push delivery, and content safety). Their terms may also apply to those components.
- Sign-in providers (such as Google or email OTP) are governed by their own policies when you use them.
- Links to external sites are not controlled by Peace; use them at your own risk.
7. Changes to the service
We improve Peace over time. Features, limits, moderation rules, and availability may change.
- We may add, modify, or remove features with or without notice where reasonable.
- We may run experiments on feeds, notifications, or safety systems to improve the product.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEACE DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
- Other users’ conduct is not controlled by Peace; you interact with others at your own discretion.
- Moments expire automatically; do not rely on Peace for permanent storage or backup.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEACE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED AS SET OUT BELOW.
- Because Peace is provided free of charge, our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to one hundred euros (EUR 100), where such a cap is permitted by law.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Peace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for others, or where required by law.
- Sections that by nature should survive termination (licenses granted to us for already-distributed content logs, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms) will survive.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Austria will have exclusive venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
